Tell us about your role at DTP.
An HR Manager’s responsibilities are varied and wide-ranging. I develop policies, direct and coordinate human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, performance management, and employee services. I love being an HR professional; I have the opportunity to help people, be innovative, learn something new everyday, and connect with people from all walks of life.
How long have you been with DTP?
I’ve been with DTP for 1 month. My career in HR began at the City of Atlanta with the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department. As a Human Resources Administrator, I gained exposure working in this role by participating in the strategic planning process, developing policies and SOPs, recruiting for the fire department, and performance management. I’d like to think HR chose me, and not the other way around. I love what I do!!
What’s something you could give a 30-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?
I could give a 30-minute presentation on how to budget and finances. I spent the bulk of my career working in retail banking as a financial adviser and Financial Center Manager. Everything from establishing credit, rebuilding credit, purchasing a home, how to start a business, and investments. I’m your girl!!
