Is Work4Eli non-profit?
No, Work4Eli is not non-profit. One of the primary goals for the program is to provide employment to special needs adults. This includes providing wages and maintaining employment legalities.
Do you charge for equipment pickup?
We charge a small fee for equipment pickup. Work4Eli is self-sustained, and all excess revenue is funded directly back into the program.
What happens to the e-waste?
Digital Technology Partners is a minimal processing facility. After items go through our onsite breakdown, we forward their parts to the appropriate refineries, including Ecycle Atlanta and CHaRM (The Center for Hard for Recycle Materials).
Fun fact: 100% of the parts we handle make it to the appropriate refineries, and 0% end up in landfills.
How do you ensure a safe work environment?
As a minimal processing facility, we don’t work with hazardous materials onsite. We maintain a clean work environment, provide the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves and eyewear, as well as training and supervision.
What is Georgia’s Employment First Act?
Georgia’s Employment First Act, signed into law May 8th, 2018, promotes employment as the first and preferred option offered to people with disabilities receiving government funded services. In states where Employment First has been implemented, employment rates of individuals with disabilities have increased significantly.
