Digital Technology Partners Operations Manager Levi Shores

Meet the Team Monday: Levi Shores

This week’s featured employee for Meet the Team Monday is Levi Shores, DTP’s Operations Manager. Levi is involved in all aspects of the company, from day-to-day onsite management, to staff training, company development, policy and procedure setting, and much more.

How long have you been with the company?
6 Years, 7 Months – My first day was ‘Snowpacolypse 2011’ and Adam Zarett, like a trooper, came to my house to pick me up for a working interview/ride along. There was a pan machine that needed setting up, and he wasn’t going to let that not happen!

What is your favorite part of working at Digital Technology Partners?
There’s nothing better than watching our team work together to bring a new customer out of an IT nightmare that they’ve been living in, and give them the freedom to take care of their patients again.

What are your favorite hobbies?
My hobbies are hobbies – I am a serial hobbyist. Major/recent ones include Heirloom Furniture Woodworking, Bowl Turning, Beekeeping, Bookbinding, Home-brewing, 3D Printing, and Stained Glass

What is your favorite food?
Good Indian food… Chicken Tikka Masala (which I totally admit has more roots in Great Britain!)

If you were stuck on an island, what item would you bring with you?
My Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device (Just kidding: a multi-tool)

Do you have any pets?
Absolutely. Our two dogs: Axel and Harley-Quinn. Oh, and about 30k honeybees: Beatrice, Betty, Bernice, Betty II, Brandy, Belinda… you get the idea. Don’t you?

Where are you originally from?
My first 15 years were spent in various cities known for aliens, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Oil. It’s easier to just say ‘The Southwest’.

What would others say is your strongest trait or specialty at Digital Technology Partners?
You know that scene in the Matrix where Neo stops see the Matrix and starts seeing the code? For a technician, that’s the equivalent of immediately stripping away everything that doesn’t matter and cutting straight to the issue like a laser. I like to think that’s me, and I use that analogy in our hiring process. We hire ‘Neos’.

What are your top three favorite video games?
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II (amazing saber mechanics for a game of its time period), Infamous 2 (just a well written game), Minecraft (sandbox!)

Have you read any good books lately?
The E-Myth Revisited (for anyone running or helping to run a business), Bigger Leaner Stronger (for anyone looking to get fit), The Beekeeper’s Handbook – 4th Edition (for anyone interested in keeping bees)
