Digital Technology Partners CEO Jonathan Kendrick

Meet the Team Monday: Jonathan Kendrick

In honor of Boss’s Day, we’re introducing Jonathan Kendrick, DTP’s CEO. With customer service at heart since the beginning, he has built a company of over 40 knowledgeable and supportive employees. Whether he’s going the extra mile for a client or a DTP employee, Jonathan is constantly looking for ways to improve any and every aspect of Digital Technology Partners.

What is your favorite part of working at Digital Technology Partners?
Cliche, but our people.  Our staff is truly amazing.  They care for our clients, and it shows in their efforts.  I also enjoy having a vision and watching that come to fruition.

What are your favorite hobbies?
Exercising, wake surfing (or just being on the lake), vacationing, concerts, and spending time with my family.

What is your favorite food?
It varies from time to time. Right now I really like sushi and seafood.

If you were stuck on an island, what item would you bring with you?
My iPad Pro, a surfboard, and some really good fishing gear (to satisfy hunger).

Do you have any pets?
Our DTP Mascot, Herc, and the most perfect Golden Retriever ever, Bella.

Where are you originally from?
I was born in Marietta and have called Georgia home all my life.  I have lived on every side of Atlanta at this point, and now call McDonough home.

What would others say is your strongest trait or specialty at Digital Technology Partners?
I would hope my ability to see our long-term vision and strategy and to help put a team together to execute that strategy.  It is also important to me that our employees enjoy working here, so being responsible for company culture is also important to me.

What is your favorite artist or genre of music?
I listen to Country, and some Electronic Drum and Bass, especially when working out.  Kip Moore is my favorite artist.

What do you consider the perfect vacation to be?
Ultra-quiet, relaxing beach in the Caribbean.  Melissa and I go to Aruba once a year, and I consider it my second home.

What are your top three favorite video games?
I don’t play video games anymore, but growing up baseball games were always my favorite.

Have you read any good books lately?
I like reading self-help books, or anything that I feel can help me be a better person.  I recently read The Power of Positive Leadership, by Jon Gordon.  It was inspirational to read.  Positive leadership doesn’t mean standing on the side and cheering; it’s about being positive and encouraging to others, and helping them be the best they can be.  Jon has helped Dabo Swinney (Clemson Head Coach) in his career, and reading some of the stories in the book made me a huge fan of him.

What is your dream vehicle?
G23 or G25 Ski Nautique, and a lake house to go with it!

What is your favorite sporting or outdoors event?
Melissa and I go to a lot of country concerts.  We both enjoy live music, and it’s always a good time to hang out with friends.

What is your favorite movie/TV show?
I don’t watch a lot of TV, but do enjoy watching sporting events. UGA and Falcons football, and UFC fights are some of my favorites.

What is the most gratifying this about working at Digital Technology Partners?
Seeing success.  Our company has grown from the bonus room of my first house, to managing over 500 dental offices, in 14 different states with an incredible staff of more than 40 people.  I am proud of what we have become, and extremely excited about the future.
